Instructions for filling out your
entry form and choosing the correct variety & section for your rat.

1. Is your rat a Solid color
or Marked?
If there are no white markings and your rat is one
color than your rat is a solid, choose that category.
Does your rat have two colors? If so, it is
"Marked," choose that category
2. Choose the
"Variety" that best fits your rat (body, ear, or hair type):
Standard (ears & hair)
Dumbo ears
Rex (curly fur, coarser)
Velveteen (wavy fur, softer)
Harley
Double Rex (parents were both rex, looks
like part hairless, part haired)
Satin (longer, fine hair, soft with a
sheen)
Tailless
Hairless (no hair on body)
Dwarf
3. Find the section by
selecting a category:
Sections under "Solids" available
are:
Self (solid color hair shaft,
single color);
Ticked (multi color hair
shaft, single color);
Silvered (50/50 mix of silver
& single color hairs)
Shaded - Himalayan, Siamese &
solid merled rats
Sections available under "Marked" are:
Marked
Shaded - Merles with markings
3. Choose the correct color, mark, shading under the section you choose for your rat. Please use the colors listed as these are the names chosen by our club. If you have another color not listed it may be unstandardized.
